audio on dvd

hello everybody,

i was wondering what i should do.

i have a lot of audio cd's but they are scratched. I have polised a few of them and it works nice. But i wanna copy them all, and play the copied ones.

now i was wondering : is it better to copy them on a CDR of copy a few cd's on a DVD (is there a standalone dvd player which can play audio files in folders ?) or should i just leave them on my hard disk ?

i know that with this question i'm entering the domain of harddisk playback or cd-playback. a hot discussed topic on this forum. still i looks to me that some prefer harddisk and some cdplayers, both having there advantages.

but could anybody tell me what he should do with this topic.
cd - dvd - pc ?
i'm gonna use a external dac soon, both on my pc as on my cd player.
