The next step will be install the Zapfilter to replace the HDAM modules....

Default Have you got a new clock for the SA8260 ?

If Yes, how does it sound ?

I thought the HIDAM are good enough. Is a zap filter effective ? I would be glad to discuss what I can do with my.

TIA
Alan

lc clock and Zapfilter are not the universal killer.
products from marantz (the hdam module) are
more respectable than lcaudio's.

Default Can HDAMs be bettered?

HI everyone

I am new to the forum but have been going through all the posts on tweaks for the Marantz 6000 KI and related topics.

Has anyone tried replacing the hdams with a zap filter or the like? OR has anyone kept the HDAMs but upgraded associated components?

If so i would very much like to hear about the sonic differences.

Regards
Shamsur

The SA8260 has gotten excellent reviews in its stock form. I would be very interested in the opinions of anyone who has modified one.

Regards,
Dan
