Default Dumb Question about locating groung plane

I want to bypass the opamps in my DAC. I am concerned that the current from a ohm meter may damage sensitive devices, if I use one to find the ground trace closest to the opamps. With my board being triple sided I don't want to rely on visually tracing it back to the PS. Are my fears unfounded?? What is the best, safest, surest way to find a ground trace close to the opamps. Thanks in Advance,

Bypass opamps, do you mean bypass them (disconnect them) or do you mean add decoupling caps? If you want to add decoupling caps, haven't opamps already got it?

BTW: I don't think the pcb has 3 layers, 4 more likely. Signal-ground-5V-signal. The powerplane and groundplane are inside the pcb usually.

With a DMM, connect the negative (black) lead to the earth common, and with the Positive (red) lead you can trace/confirm earth connections without fear of damaging things.
Make sure the board is unpowered while doing this.
