Default opamp suppliers in Australia

Hi all, and excuse my ignorance with my questions.

I own a Rotel RCD971 and previous owner installed LC Audio clock.
I thought I would get into the modding mode, starting with opamps, and see where this leads me.

Not sure yet, but after reading some posts here and elsewhere I may try the LM6172.
Does anyone know where I can order, and preferably a local (australia) supplier?

Maybe other recommendations for this model?

Thanks in advance

Chris

RS Stock No. Description

Ho Rob,

It's good to know RS stock them. The last search I did a year ago for the same IC produced no results. I'll try them to see what all the raves are about...

Thanks,

It's interesting that the National Semiconductor site appears to recommend two alternatives. From their LM6172 page::

LMH6655 - LOWER NOISE, IMPROVED BANDWIDTH, LOWER COST
LMH6622 - MUCH BETTER PERFORMANCE

May be worth exploring too.

Hi Chris

I'm on the south side - not too far from RS Components. If you plan to collect the LM6172s - call in for a coffee.
