Default Ripping DVD-A on Macintosh

Anyone know how I might rip DVD-A audio files to Macintosh keeping the higher DVD resolution? I've struggle with Mac The Ripper and a few other freeware items but am having little success. Appreciate any informed Macintosh types sharing their experiences.
