Hey guys,
three days ago I got a dual box professional DAT of Sony. It is an outdated DAT but still sounds good with it's TDA1541!
Many think that the PCM 2500B is a separate converter but it is just an input selector.
The problem I got is about the recording with the digital input; impossible to record from digital input, the machine always stays in the PAUSE state. With analog it gives no problem.
Anybody with this DAT had this problem before? Or maybe someone can send me a copy of operation and service manual? This could be great help!! Thanks

I can be three things why your DAT don´t want to record on digital input.
Maybe it is on sinhro start mode
You don´t give him proper digital signal (format) on dig. input , like Aes-Ebu or SPDIF.
You didn´t select proper active digital input od selector.
Did you clean whole transport and heads before you use him?
