Last thing I know that is that it was taken out of production because of some unlock bug. It's still a good receiver though, very low jitter specs. Me and my audio buddy experimented with it and it sounded ver nice.
Digi-Key still have them in stock.

Regards

If you want I can mail you the data sheet (±300kb)

I use this chip in my DIY dac with a pcm1730.

it works fine, any problem of locking in any sample frequency.

I use a 24,57 mhz cristal.

I use it with my cd player 44.1khz and with my dvd 48 khz and 96 khz.

I don't have to do any reset when changing of sampling frequency.

Excuse me for my poor english

DIR 1703 has problem with PLL lock when Fs is change. You must hardware chip reset if Fs change.

must

My DIy DAC.

I know that DRI1703 have a bug but , my DAC work fine.

I don't have to do any reset when changing Fs.

I can give you the shematic if you want to try.

I use DIR1703 in some applications. If it work with one Fs (e.g. 44,1kHz) no problem. When I want to use it with different Fs (e.g. like receiver IEC61937 with Dolby Digital frames Fs=48kHz or S/PDIF receiver Fs=44,1kHz) sometimes I have problem.
