4558 replacement with opa627's

Merry Xmas all,

I have searched and found many instances of replacing single chip dual-opamps with 2 opa627's using an adapter board.

My ancient cd player uses a 4558, can I safely buy an adapter board and do this swapout ?

I am also going to try some of the cheaper alternatives like 2604 etc.

Since the CDP is ancient why don't you settle with OPA2134?

Yes, I will try that one also.
The cd player is a Pioneer PD-59, the one with the stable platter upside down mechanism
