Default toslink mod to monica2?

I am planning on beginning my diy career with the monica2 dac. My cdp only has a toslink digital out and the monica2 design only provides for a coax input. I have searched the web (and this site) for a toslink to coax schematic and came upon the following http://www.dddac.de/files/dddac1543ver22.pdf. Although the dac in that site looks a bit ambitious for my first effort, can I simply attach a toslink recepter in the manner shown to the monica design? Here is a link to the monica schematic: http://www.diyparadise.com/dacs.html
Has anybody modified monica for toslink?
Thanks for your help,
Jazzzman

Forget using the TOSLINK out.......they are all garbage. Make your own coax out.......this is DIY, isn't it?

Trust me........you can think me later.

I apologize but the first link does not seem to work the way it is set up. Please go to www.dddac.de for main page, click on "DDDAC 1543" on top of page and then "Introduction" on left. You will then be able to click on "Click here for high resolution circuit."
Sorry about that,

I was coincidentally just searching for the same answer. My Sony CDP-508esd only has optical and I want to try coax. (Don't worry Jocko, I have some 75ohm BNC stuff here) I look forward to an answer

Thanks...
