Is it possible to get inside a satellite decoder and get the digital output stream to do DAC on so circumventing the undoubtedly cheap and nasty internal DAC/analogue output?
BBCR3 is easy to receive in Europe. The Beeb admits to reducing the sampling rate when R5 Live is being transmitted but, even so, the quality I get from my satellite box is pretty gruesome most of the time mainly (I think) due to clipping/non linearity in the decoder. |
