Hello;
Has anyone purchased this unit or one like it. http://www.mycableshop.com/sku/FT260.htm I seem to have an issue using the FT260 product. No matter the digitial coax input source going to the FT260 my A/V Sony STR-DE885 displays "UNLOCK" on the screen. I have changed the input to the FT260 and the output locations on the A / V but I always get "UNLOCK" on the A/V screen. Anyone have this issue, or does anyone know what could be wrong. Thanks lank |

Can you see the toslink light up?
If not, you either have a problem with the supply or a damaged FT260 Simon |

The manual says nothing, but searching on sony's website, I found that if you see the "unlock" this means that the siginal is not good, or to weak.

So I guess that we are all stumped.
I did try this circuit out below and it did not work also. I am taking the digital signal from my DVD player sending through the circuit to the optical port on the receiver, but still the unlock on the receiver display, seems that no matter what I do this will not work. I would not be doing this if the cable company had a box that the digital out was optical. Any ideas? |

lank,
what is the source you are using?? I beleive this one only needs a regular analog sinal like coming from a cassette deck output or regular analog output of your dvd player. (If I read it right) let me know what your source is. I will do some research, because its been a long time I worked on this model. Danny
