Hello, after regroup my electronic components i've found on clock: with this sign:
----------------- / <T> 9350T \ | XO - 105BIC | |.14.31818MHz / ------------------- Is this ordinary or some kind "special" clock? Thank You! Reggards! |

14.318 is 4x the NTSC colourburst frequency of 3.58MHz.
It could be for a TV, a VCR etc. The previously mentioned Apple II was one of many home computers which used related frequencies. Divide by 15 and you have a 0.95MHz clock for the 6502. It would be synchronous with the video circuitry which helps a great deal. As others have said, it has nothing to do with 44.1kHz audio, though if you divide by 325 you get close... David. |
