Default AD1865 in piggyback

Goodday guys, has anyone tried piggyback AD1865 for a parallel run?

Balanced or doggy style it doesnot make any difference for me, in my experience. Been there done that.

At balanced mode, you can get from AD1865N-K nearly true 18-bit resolution, or up to -106dB effective dynamic range (real measuremets).

I was asked by my friend to add one more ad1865 to his Audionote 1.2 dac in a piggyback style, and I wonder is it worth it since he has one AD1865NK siitting around.

NK version helps more than piggy back or balanced!

Interesting. It seems you’ve changed your mind regarding balanced DAC chips.

Back to the topic: I recently did the piggyback thing to an AN 1.2. I like to try things for myself and not rely on the claims of the diyAudio mountebanks. Immediately after the operation I noticed a big difference. The sound was much louder and rather crude. Of course, doubling the DAC chips doubled the current output. After I halved the value of the I/V resistors the sound improved. Is it better than a single DAC chip? Hard to tell. It certainly doesn’t hurt once you tweak the I/V resistors.
