We were heading in the same direction. Although I am surprised that the op-amp would fry in that manner.

Good to know that those input diodes do work when needed.

I replaced the TCA0372, but the motor keeps on running

I have tried to measure the values of the resistors in the circuit, and they seem to be ok.

Hi,

Did you ever find out what the problem was here?

This tray control is the same setup used in the Arcam A6 CDP. I'm having a similar problem except the motor overruns for a couple of seconds on the +5V opening. Limit switch is only used for the tray closing in this implementation.
