Default Tube DAC ?

Hi !

I planning to build tube DAC, that im going to use with my computer CD-ROM station. I allready have the control parts and LCD-display for the station.

I didn´t find anythin in the web. Can somebody please help me to get schematics, PCB layouts and connecting diagram? With tube DAC i mean that DAC is some kind of normal DAC and with tubes is the pre amplifier.

The parts what are used in the DAC should bee easy to order in the web or from normal elektrical store.

I hope you understood

Moro Jorma !

Onko tietoa tuon jälkimäisen hinnasta?
Oletko itse rakentanut moista?

hintahan tietenkin riippuu käytettävien osien laadukkuudesta, mutta noin suuntaa-antava kiinnostaa.

Sorry boys! I´m writing finnish with Jorma, cause it´s faster to write

Just a hint; You'd normally want a high-mu tube because you want it as a voltage amplifier. Tubes makes better voltage amplifiers than op-amps. Point of having one there is obviously to keep low voltage on the DAC pins (high gain). When you're sayin you want the tubes as the pre, i'm visualizing some kind of high-output DAC or maybe even op-amps driving something like a 6sn7. Is that really what you want?

DAC is the most important machine that im looking. That pre-amplifier is not necessary, if it´s not in same layout.

I am still building tube pre-amplifier (finnish know Pännäri) even if its in DAC, because i need tube pre with other sources too.

So maby i asked little bit wrong. I simple it.

Can somebody give me layouts, schematics, part list and all what i would need to build high quality DAC?
DAC should be able to receive S/PIDF.

I will think and plan that tube pre later

Thank you and i hope you did understand
