Hi all,
I have a CD player with the CDM-12 fixed transport. It has been making noise and developed problem with certain disc. I wonder if I can swap out the CDM-12 with cd-pro 2? Do you think the controller boards has the same signals? Thanks! niner |

Do a web search on cdm-12 problems. It was admitted after shipping millions of units that the wrong grease was used on the runners, so all it probably needs is a good clean and re-grease. Try audioasylum, I know this topic came up there a couple o years ago.

Put some grease on the sledge of the optical mechanism and the worm-wheel. I rosolved some problems with my CDM12 doing so. I used for this purpose an old SIEMENS technical grease.
