Crystal AD/DA CS4212 data???

Hi!

I have a Crystal CS4212 in my Mac G3 Beige. Does anybody know any data about this AD/DA?

Sonny, you won't find it in any databook, that's why I ask, you see. I have asked Cirrus about and they say "nope". The chip is custom design for Apple but since there are people out there with huge knowledge.....

Try looking for Crystal Screamer and you might find some info.

Not much but still, Quote:

"The Personality Card 'Whisper' of the small Power Macintosh G3 includes little more than the essential sound chip ('Screamer', Crystal CS 4212) with 16-bit stereo resolution and an amplifier for head phones and the internal speaker"
