Hi,
I managed to get a set of DSD1796 DACs and DIT4192IPW digital Audio transmitter/reciever. I would love to build a dac using them in a diy dac, but I can't find any that use them. (I'd also love to use them to build an new coax ouput from my dvd 3910 if some one knows how to go about this) Thanks for any help you can give. God bless... Mark |

Two big problems:
1. The DIT4192 is a S/PDIF transmitter, not a receiver. You need a DIRxxxx part (now discontinued) or some other S/PDIF receiver from another company, such as Crystal. 2. The DSD1796 is register-configured. That means that you would need to include a microprocessor to load the appropriate configuration by writing registers over an SPI bus. DIY guys usually don't like to add unnecessary complexity like this, so they use pin-programmable DACs. |
