CDM1 selection grades ?

Hi,

CDM1 are marked with different symbols and in different colors.
Does it have anything to say ?
Found a bad CDM1 in a Revox and it is marked with "O".
It's spindle needs force to move, makes problems reading the disk and I believe it has always been like this.

It reminds me, I read somewhere that CDM1 always make problems in Revox, maybe

...
Everything is possible.
I will disassemble the spindle to see what is wrong.

Could be. Exchanged some mails with a guy that worked on the cdm3. They did selections, best one's went to sweden (company that made equipment to measure cd quality).

Also Studer stuff had to be better quality (blerr < 50) than average, so who knows. btw cdm3 was better than cdm1/0, however cdm4 was better again (blerr).

blerr: block error rate.

No idea what the symbols mean. Normally they are just indicating that a quality checkpoint was ok.
