I would like to piggy-back my Aragon's DAC chips, but I am having difficulty finding PCM58P's. Can anyone point me to a supplier or other source where I might still be able to find the things?

You probably won't believe it but after having them advertised many times I threw them in the bin a month ago.....

Mediocre chip though. I still have AD1860 etc. in stock. I promise I won't throw those away.

Jeez Jean Paul, didn't you maybe miss a couple?
Maybe not the best chip, but I can't afford a new DAC, nor do I have the experience to build one better than my present one, so piggy backing appears to be the best upgrade path for me right now. Anyone else sitting with the things? Anyone...anywhere...pleez? |

Thanks Michael. I hope that p m means private mail, because I have just sent you one.
As a matter of interest, did you remove the PCM 58's because you were scrapping the players, or because you were upgrading them? Regards, William. |

I removed them becouse I only used the players as transports. They are used and the legs are not that pretty, if you can get newer then thats probably the way to go. /Michael |

Hi Mihael,
Can you please let me know if you still have one? I will be needing one, if the owner want his DAC fixed, it depends on the price of the chip. Best regards, Audiofanatic
