I agree with JP. Once you
- solve all PCB issues
- add a new clock
- upgrade power supply
- upgrade opamps and get rid of mute transistors
you'll have a fine player, CDM9 is great

Hi I own a CD931. I only use it as a transport with my own clock of course. Broke the connection between chassis and PCB ground. Put in a balanced power transformer 30watt. SPDIF out is bad due to mickry transformer. Made my own, transformerless. Also I2S Direct added. So there.........
