Benchmark ....
Hi. Anyone of you transistor heads know much about the Benchmark DAC 1 ?
 I certainly dont although the talk about it is superfluous. This thing apparently is destined for sainthood  Responses good or bad are appreciated i am going to go back to being morose and brooding over my wire thread now  For i am a wirehead, pleased to meet you.

I had this DAC in use for two weeks, and it's not bad. It's not great either, it lacks some resolution, the headphones output is only average. Although it sounds rather accurately, it is also a bit mechanical and not much involving. Personally, I enjoy TDA1543 DAC much better. I actually bought Benchmark to compare it and see what the hype was all about. I sold it last week.

Ok Peter. I am looking this designation up on the web and i get a plethora of options
 Which manufacture produces these ? I see kits all over and all different. And a few pre builts but they seem to be German sites. Help me out here bro
