Unless you're doing work up in the microwave RF band (gigahertz rage) connector impedance is of no consequence. Any video cable that delivers decent quality video images on your big screen TV monitor from the DVD player will also work fine for digital audio.

In digital audio it is, once you understand the clock recovery mechanisms and the impact the jitter has on the conversion. Luckilly everyone is free to roll their own, I am more happy with 75 ohm BNC than I was with RCA. best, |

Having a background in RF and microwaves, my first impression that under 300 MHz or so, it won't matter much.
Having spent way too much time the last 14 years trying to get SPDIF to sound right, I know better. You can hear differences that hard to pick out on a measurement. And don't try to tell me it is "designer's ears". It isn't. Results are repeatable with trained listeners in a blind test. No......I didn't do double blind................ Jocko |
