There is a lot of information in the internet on cleaning LPs .
A small search and you can find the Classic solution to make the fluid yourself. Does anybody have information on to make a fluid for cds? CDs are sensitive against alcohol and other chemicals. The surface is made out of Makrolon which is polycarbonate. Its harder than Plexyglass but not so hard as glass. That means it can be easily scratched. So you have to be carefull when whiping not to scratch the surface. |

I thought isopropyl alcohol was ok? I suppose you could also use distilled/de-ionised water and a little washing up liquid (dish soap).

I have heard from people that they use pure alkohol to clean a cd quickly but normaly you shouldnt do that for washing the whole disk thoroghly.
I dont know maybe a drop of dish soap would do, but doesnt that leave residue? |

Just rinse it well afterwards with the bottle of water and it should be OK I would have thought.
