WM8816 Control IC/Board?

Does anyone know of a pre-coded IC, or control board/circuit for the Wolfson WM8816? I would like to give it a try, but dont want to buy the $250 worth of evaluation boards. Not looking for anything fancy, just volume control.

i wanna test the 8816, so i will do a little pcb with cpu and ir remote, if your interested...let me know.

I would be very interested. If you would like, i would help with developement costs. I would like to use the wm8816 in a balanced configuration. I recently wrote wolfson, to get the code they used on the pic in their evaluation board, maybe we can just use it.

hans, why balanced? you have bal sources and dest. = amp ?
i think about trying a discrete output stage and a standard opamp for first testing.

My source is balanced, and so are my amps, so i would rather have a balanced volume control.
