Hi,
To be honest, I don't it's likely that anyone will find the proper schematics any time soon. You should be able to download nearly all of the datasheets for the different ICs though and work things out from that. It depends what you intend to do. What did you have in mind? OzOnE. |

Hello, sorry if I leave a message on this old thread, but it seems to be very interesting, and it could be a pity to forget about it.
Let's suppose I've got a S750 system, DDTS-100 and X-Fi Prelude. Here is what I know: - Connecting speakers with sound card through the decoder switch box, should give me the full quality in analogue mode (because I directly use the Prelude DACs and OPAms) - When playing DTS/DD movies, audio goes to decoder in digital form, so the final quality (surely lower than the Prelude in analogue mode) depends from the decoder DACS and OPAmps... My question is: could it be possible to replace some decoder components (DACs, OPAmps etc.) so that we can increase the quality of the final sound, when in digital mode? This should give us a really good quality as the Prelude with modded components, isn't it? Other thing I know is that the following components are in-board: http://focus.ti.com/docs/prod/folder...t/pcm1600.html http://focus.ti.com/docs/prod/folder...t/pcm1716.html Could it be a good idea, for example, to replace them with: http://focus.ti.com/docs/prod/folder...t/pcm1605.html http://focus.ti.com/docs/prod/folder...t/pcm1792.html ? |

I know this thread is very old, but someone might want to take a look at this:

Sorry to reply in this old post, but it seemed the right one to post my question to, which is: what do I need to do to get bass with the Creative DDTS-100 in combination with non-Creative speakers (from a 5.1 DD sound source connected via TOSLINK)?
Unfortunately I never modded a decoder or anything sound related before, I do however have some experience with GPU and CPU modding (soldering, pencil-mods, etc). Thanks in advance for a reply. |
