I wonder?
The electronic they connect to the CDROM, is it only to control the CDROM? The electronic don’t have anything to do with the audio signal? I’m more interested in the electronic for the audio connected to the IDE port on the CDROM. Is there any links on Internet who is recommended? |

you can pick out the spdif signal of the cd player and use a converter + dac or find the i2s signals and hook up a dac alone.
I don't think these manufacturers keep the original player audio output

If you only use the spdif you can’t get sacd or mp3 and so on out. I’m interested to use the CDROM for these formats. To get this information I think you need to use the IDE connection and have some electronic to get out a digital signal to your DAC you have outside. Am I right?

Cdrom drives won't read sacd disks, afaik different wavelength laser, and sacd material is encrypted as well, making the decoding operation non trivial. Chips for doing this are not available to the general public due to copyright concerns.
