I was pondering, What would it take to create a variable pitch mechanism on computer CDROM.
(I'm thinking low-tech here using the internals) Can you "fool" it by altering one of the clocks or does it become an elaborate splitting of clocks and altering some inputs. I know one can do it outboard , lots-a-ram, sampling etc but as a "hack"? D

sounds do-able?
Lupulroz: When injecting clock in a NEC cd-rom drive I managed to hear sound at 1/2 speed, I think. Maybe if you install a DDS it will work fine. Double CD player from CDROMS
