First question:
If I use acrylic for the cover of a top loader to make the CD visible while playing a disc, there could be some light shining on the laser and probably reduce contrast, especially with CDRs because CDRs are a little bit transparent. Is this a problem ? |

Hello Bernard
I don't know which cd-player, but there exists a high-end player and inside it the cd mechanism is totally screened off from light by carbonfibre sheets. Saw it on photo's in a german audio magazine. The manufacturer claimed better sound. I thought of a acryllic player also but first projects first. But sound quality is to me more important then esthetics. Tubee (JW) |
