Question Modding a NAD CD5000

I have a NAD CD5000 and some OPA2132 opamps and wondered if it would be worth replacing the NE5532 opamps inside?

I have never done anything like this before

Here is what it looks like, I dont thinks its very common because there is not much info about it on the web, but it looks identical to another one I saw (cant remember model though):

Inside showing the NE5532:

So, if you think its a good idea, is it just a straight swap?
I know they are pin compatable but are there other considerations?
There are 4x NE5532's there, and there are 2x line outs on the CDP, one fixed and one uses a volume control. I guess its a matter of studying the PCB to work out which one is for what output?

Thanks if you want help me out!

Default CDR?

Is it labelled CDR or CAR?
NAD had a compression feature that boosted low levels and dropped high levels for making tapes for use in your CAR.
The button was found on some tape decks and CD players.

Default I might be confused

Push the button and have a listen to the effect.
Perhaps it was labelled CDR, or CAR on tape and CDR on CD......

I use the NAD 910 PL processor and the CDR button is for Controled Dynamic Range. Kind of a stay level. Tends to pump. Dosen't sound great.

More or less what I thought. Good for tapes in a noisy car...

I just went ahead and did it. I haven't had time to give it a good test yet but it sounds a bit better already I think. No DC offset either.

Maybe a rude question but can you describe what "better" is?
