Default question about digital xover for foobar

has anyone tried using this plugin with foobar?
http://sourceforge.net/projects/xover/
I'd like to use it for an active 3-way setup with my speakers but I think the plugin requires a soundcard with 8 channels of analog output.. i am planning to use a lynx two (which has 6 channels of output). The other option I thought of would be to use a emu 1820m and mute the 7th and 8th channels. I'd appreciate any input on this. thanks.
