Time to come clean................
True this one hasn't smoked but my KI died on me!!
Don't think you've earned your spurs until you've had a dead machine, though I do draw the line at smoking in our house!
I hadn't a clue at the time I was such a noob so I just bought a 63SE with a faulty laser and started on that.
I've had a few goes at the KI to get to the bottom of it, lots of help from Brent - diagrams of the tx wiring and stuff like that but she's still not having it.
Not going to beat me, though, I'll sort her out good and proper if it's the last thing I do.
Now, where have I heard myself saying that before........ oh yes, at the foot of the stairs........

Q: Is it possible to run the clock signal wire in a more non direct route
A: NO
Q: Is it ideal to have the clock ground not going to the psu reg gnd
A: Yes in this player
Q: Is pink the best colour to use for a mains lead
A: Yes but only if you are gay
Q: If you have to use pink should you at least make it look professional
