If you do that, you are shorting the opamp's output to GND (for AC signals). Most of them are short-circuit protected, but I can imagine it's better no to test that too often...
The DOS won't mind, as long as there's a cap in series to block the DC signal. Otherwise you are in trouble
Thanks RAY. As shown in my uploaded photo I used LM4562HA opamps in my CD63 SE and there is a blocking cap to get rid of the DCs. I don't have the 47R in series and it seems to me that there is no problem to the opamps
But to play safe I think I better insert a 47R

Disable muting circuit: remove QN24/25/91/92 and RN27/28
(cuts analog -12V to muting circuit)
i forgot did i desolder RN 27 & 28

Remove U207, U211 and U262 (and cut trace) to disable traces running to
headphone section. Decouple each muting line to GND with two 100n/X7R
at junctions U222/223 and output side to remove noise, coupled-in to analog
section from digital-out trace that runs in parallel with muting lines for several inches!!

I don't have any pictures of the nr.2 mod, but the idea is to disable the traces of the muting lines and connect them to GND with two capacitors. They literally run all around the analog section, and the digital-out trace is running next to them for quite some distance. They act as antenna's and can pickup noise from the digital trace and pollute the analog section.
You have to study the lay-out a bit to get the idea.
The jumper-wires you see, are running from the opamp outputs straight to the output sockets. So C655 thru 658 are bypassed, I just used one single jumper to do it. I did the same with a CD63mkII, you can see in a better picture here how's it's done. The only thing between the opamps and the output sockets is a 47 ohm resistor.

i made some smart mods in my cd 63 KI to know what is different with another
CDP as i have shigaclone in my house. The shigaclone was very simple to mods
and from simple to hard it means TIME and MONEY we spent for the project.
as i look in www.raylectronics.nl, Ray give some smart & cheapest way to mods
for CD 63. As Audio Listener is not matter for me to add anything but sometime
we said goodbye to our audiothings and hard to sell if you make a heavy mods.
btw nice kingwa clock there as i remembered i bought 2pcs from this guy before
with your last picture it is very clear for me how to mods this player. after i look
again to my mods there some no need transistor seat in my player

last result from this mods, sound a little bit bright and i feel that the player was
screaming (not the sound, just feel) with jrc 2114. now starting to change caps
on the dacs with 2 bgf and 2 bg std, use 4 pcs elna silmic 220uf in the opamp.
i bought this player us$40, bought the laser set us$50, bought the caps around
us$50 (4 bgf 470, 2 bgstd 220, 2 bgf 100, 2 pana 2200, 1 nifg 1000, 4 rjj 470)
ITTcaps & resistor us$30, cable-female us$ 20, gear us$20 & servis cost us$40
wow total spent was us$ 250, it is ok cheaper than shiga chasis
thank to Peter Daniel who show me this interesting thread and i stuck for 2 years
here waiting for that 63 KI alive. All of you was very kind here, thanks very much
i will try with some opamp, op270 then lm6172 and ad826, the last one is 4562

- can i solder it the cable in CD 63 too ?
- is that digital cable / standard cable ?
- For cable no 1, from where to where ?
- For cable no 2, from where to where ?
- What FO used in the clock for 16,93 ?
