Them Tentlab regs look pretty nice.

It's amazing
Not only does it look good but there is a deeper punchier bass, mid range is smooth yet open and the treble is very precise.
It is definatly worth seperating the power rails
The reg pcb houses two circuits
1) 5V rail with 5V Audiocom Invisus with coils and 3 Blackgate 16V 100uF caps powering the DAC and Decoder
2) 12V rail with 12V superreg with coils and 2 Blackgate FK 16V 100uF caps powering Audiocom superclock II.
Both circuits are fed +20V from HexFED diodes.
I will post some pics tomorrow

I just got in from pumping iron in the gym..... tried service mode and hit play. I get Error 12 - that is, according to the manual, a SLED Error. Not sure if this tells us anything new. Will look into the voltages now.

+12v before 7805 and +5v after it, so he's happy enough.
+12v at 7812
-11.73v (to be overly precise) at 7912
-11.7v at D814 (the '-10v' line I think)
At D811 I can't get a proper reading, but I *think* it should be +10v ...this is a schottky diode that I put in, badly. This could be it, what do you think?

Measure around one of the 14/16 pin chips and see if you can find the +/- voltages
Also the surface mount chip under the pcb (servo) check this is not dry jointed. Carfuly solder each leg with minimal solder and dont hold iron on very long either.
If not you can sent her up to me to sort mate.

Nutsack, the problem isn't the one I hoped it would be, and I'm in the dark again. I measured +/- voltages at R149/R150. So I would appear to have ok +5 -12 +12 -10 +10. I think that's it for the voltages, all present and correct. I'll check the connectors that join the transport to the main pcb now for continuity.
Ok, I took the pcb out again and messed around with it looking for open circuits or bird poo solder, and couldn't find anything very bad or definitely broken. I did notice some of my blue tack in the transport had shifted a little so I made sure everything could move freely, but I don't think that was a problem anyway.
I decided as I'm now very tired I'd just connect it all back up and pray for a miracle....
....miracle happened - no noises, just got to work reading the disc and playing it!
So the problem fixed itself, and that's just not fair! I want to know what happened!!
But it seems to be working!!

And it effing well works too, with sound and everything!!! How relieved am I right now??? 
HDAM listening impressions to follow, but first I'd better depart from this forum and head bedways for some spatchka. I am after all feeling a bit shagged and fagged and fashed, it being a night of no small energy expenditure.

Good news! But what was the problem.....hmmmmm.......
Maybe one of the driver IC's has a bad pin, you could try and resolder them (Q105/106/QN01).
