Well or even a spare CD-43/53 to sell...

Matthieu, I sent you another one on Friday.

Everyone, my tx output is fabulous. Soo smooth, detailed and is dynamic too!

Now I just need to start adding psu's for all the various regs.

Cheers, Lee.

I meant to tonight but my camera batteries are charging, so I'll post a couple tomorrow.

My system now has no caps in the signal path, until the crossover's in the speakers

Cheers, Lee.

Hi Lee,
thank you very much, let's chase the postman again! (poor postman...)

The big gain you have is by this perfect no-cap situation? I also need pics...
Good night guys, a flickering candle light of hope came into my silent dark night now...
Thanks again!

What happened to the first one, Matthieu?

Did the postman lose it, or did you it yourself?

It's somewhere between United Kingdom and France...
I think there is no reason I can fry the new SAA7345GP, the problem wich "may" have fried mine is solved, it "should" work as soon as soldered!
If not... but no reason, the player is reading discs just no sound, not touched the DAC but just cut the PS trace on the Decoder Analog an get no sound... my only concern is that HF amp or DAC (well parts before and after the Decoder) were also damaged...

Wait and see!

Matthieu

I hope it will work for you, otherwise it may be best to redo the mods with a new player, start fresh so to speak. I had to do that once, after a really stubborn disc-reading problem. Swapping the laser and mech PCB, re-soldering suff, nothing worked. During disassembly of the player, I easily pulled the wire out of one side of the 1nF polystyrene axial cap in the HF circuit, bad connection

Thanks Ray,
in worst case scenario I think I'll get a CD43, the service manual seems to point only the IR sensor (wich is good in my CD53 front panel) as downgrade (beside caps and opamps...).
But it can also work again!

I also notice all of you did pushed to suicide many players...
