[QUOTE=6h5c;.

I'm glad that you're happy with the clock Steve, that's what's most important!

Regards,

Ray[/QUOTE]

Ray,
I didn't mean to cause any discomfort with my post about the clock.

Steve

BTW, one of the casualties of the Samoan earthquake was a very dear friend. THAT is real discomfort!!!!

I'm sorry for your loss, Steve. That's real life kickin' in hard...

Makes all this stuff relative mumbo-jumbo.

I was messing around with my new camera last week and took a few night shots of cdp with the lid off - X Rated

The camera does pick out loads more colour than the naked eye can see

Hi Brent

Nice shots.... I did not know you still used blue leds to light the mech.

What type of leds are you using ? And where did you connect them to ?

Apart from the inside, your CDP looks very similar to mine

Thanks

The leds are actually a blue green colour and when the tray is open the subtle light behind matches the display colour. RS 228-1863

If you look at the side of the mech you can see some black tape nest to the Spower. The led is behind that + one on the other side. The centre of the leds sits just under a cd when loaded so that it washes the light over the laser.

Yes it does look similar

Brent

I used the raw 10V dropped through a resistor.

No Brent now you disappoint me, that call for another SPower, think of the ripple you induce on the laser.
