Hi! I've just bought this player and it sounds very good.
This philips CD303 is from 1983 but his constructive quality and sound can beat many modern cd players.
I'd like to make some tweeks to the power supply and/or to
the output stage but I need the schematic of the unit or better
the intire user/service manual.
Can you help me? if someone has this manual or a part of this, or can write to me a site/link when I can find it (better for free!) I
would appreciate so much.

Thanks in advance,
Nick

Hi Malay !
you're late for Nick, but not for me !
I'm just another italian guy, with strong passion for vintage Hi-Fi.
I was just searching around for schematics of both Philips CD303 and 304 that i own in Grundig version.
I hope you can give me a kind support in the name of sunny Italy! Thanks in advance.

Hi, italian guy!

Certainly I will help, than to a smog.
Which it is necessary the scheme?
I have no scheme from Grundig 7550, but I think that it has no special differences from scheme F-303 and M-73 with decoder SAA7000.
I will send on e-mail, because the size of files is more 1,8mb and 1,4mb.

Excuse for my bad English.

We have a "Philips CD304 modifications" thread. The schematics are more or less the same for all the Philips players of that generation. Complimenti, é un reproduttore molto buono.

Once ago I had cd303,
not ba at all
but the sound was too mellow, slow and
bass was artificial and somehow boomy
highs are without the sharpness, and too "sweet"
*
I totally understand why the people like this sound
and why this sond fits into the Loudspeakers
have opposite signature...
*
Yes it is somehow like "analog" sound bur from bad riaa eq...
*
But I liked that design and outfit
That is one of the most I like
simple and clear, The cdm0, is lik the tank
and simply reads everything
I do not have any problem with cd-s...
*
Because lack of the space inside
I just swapped out the output caps
from if i am remember well
after 10y, 220uF electr.
to 10uF pio...
