Managed to find another CDM3 as a spare for my Micromega Trio, The guy aparently has many of them, will it be worth getting another? that will mean 3 in total the Trio will last forever! Is it really worth it?

CDM3 is even rarer than CDM1 so yes, if you like the cdplayer and you can get CDM3s for the right price I would buy some. They won't loose their value if you leave them packed.

Hey thanks for that, very useful!
I did manage to find one eventually, by forgetting work totally and surfing for almost 2 days straight! Have one in the post at the moment, on its way from the states. I tried to buy more than one, so as to help out fellow diyers here, but unfortunately the chap only had one. I need it for an old style Micromega Duo. Cost me $150, so slightly more that the one you found, and probably not a cost effective repair but who cares - it's fun, and I'm sure the Duo will sound great! It's a sexy machine. Now I need to find a spindle motor for a Micromega Drive 2..... the search never ends... |
