CDM3 is even rarer than CDM1 so yes, if you like the cdplayer and you can get CDM3s for the right price I would buy some. They won't loose their value if you leave them packed.

Hi phasenoise, just read your post, and I could REALLY do with a cdm3! Do you have any idea where I could pick one up?

Thanks in advance!

Hey thanks for that, very useful!

I did manage to find one eventually, by forgetting work totally and surfing for almost 2 days straight! Have one in the post at the moment, on its way from the states. I tried to buy more than one, so as to help out fellow diyers here, but unfortunately the chap only had one.

I need it for an old style Micromega Duo. Cost me $150, so slightly more that the one you found, and probably not a cost effective repair but who cares - it's fun, and I'm sure the Duo will sound great!

It's a sexy machine.

Now I need to find a spindle motor for a Micromega Drive 2.....

the search never ends...
