I know that a lot of you guys don't crossover into the car audio world but you are missing out on alternate ideas that may work very well in the home audio world. One example of this is that many newer car headunits could be use as a cheap transport with active crossovers built in. For example you could use an Alpine cda3855 as a cd player and setup its three pairs of rca's to goto your tweet, mid, and midbass/sub. There are other units out there that would also work.
