I have a Audio Alchemy Ultra Dac. I am missing the power supply, and I cant seem to find one anywhere. It takes a 3/ring or band mini plug, that looks like a head phones jack. I belive it is a PS2. If anyone can let me know how to make one, or where I can buy somthing to run my unit, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks, Kevin Houser 818 251-6128 lookin4scopes@msn.com |

if you look at the link you can see a schematic of the PS2 which is quite different from what you need i think, for the standard supply's using the "headphone" style jack scroll down the page a bit for the basic supply schematic which is the PS1 style supply
http://www.geocities.com/rjm003.geo/...io/diy_aa.html i still have an original AA power supply somewhere and can look to see what goes where on the plug[+v,-v,ground] if you need to know...but overalll they're pretty simple..you have a range as far as the voltage goes as the AA units are regulated inside the box..anywhere from about +/- 12 to 16V oughta work, the standard supply was +/-12v@150ma,the PS1 was +/-14V@450ma..which was an audibly worthwhile upgrade over the standard supply btw. |
