A have bought a very cheap DVD (50$) for DIY testing.
The converters for sound output is Wolfson WM8714 and I would like to replace them and the rest of the audio output with a PCM61P and a diskrete I/V-konverter/buffer. Is this possible? Can I just take the BCKIN, LRCIN and DIN signals from the WM8714 and connect theese to the PCM61? Off cource, provided that the powersupply requirements are met.... http://www.alldatasheet.com/datashee...OWN/PCM61.html http://www.wolfsonmicro.com/uploads/...nts/WM8714.pdf |

NO!
You need a digital filter also - SM????, DF170x, or just a logic to split the data and LRCK bus to 2 MONO dacs like PCM61 - this will be NON-OS You will find a lot of info in this forum for doing both! |
