Adjust FOcus Offset

I just installed a new CDM 4/19 laser assembly
and am stuck on one line in the service manual
I have. Step 1 of Adjust FOcus Offset is
"Adjust for Optical Mid-point" and it is a mechanical
adjustment, but I am not sure what to do because
the manual does not explain that.

if you do a search on replacing the cdm4 on the forum i think you`ll bump into a tutorial teaching you how to do it. its got to do with turning a couple pots.

Yes, there are two pots to adjust as you measure mV
at easy to find test points. But before you do those
adjustments, there are some prior steps to do. In the
case of the current adjustment, it is clear what to
do. But in the case of the Focus Offset Adjustment
I am unclear what to do. Before you adjust the
22k pot, you adjust the laser visually and this I
am not sure of. I have a Dutch manual that has
some pictures with explanations, but I can't
read Dutch or interpret the pi ctures very well.

A search about this particular aspect of offset adjustment
hasn't revealed anything.
