I have a few original Philips CDM4 Motherboards designed as either DIY Kits or upgrades. I have a poor copy of a January 1992 Elektor article on how to mod these boards. Apparently there is an auxilary board available somewhere which was supposed to be attached to the original boards. I will post a pic a little later. These are 8x oversampling boards with TDA1541 DAC onboard and all the decoding frimware. I was considering trying to hook up a CDPRO to this board but might be better of with the CDM4 drive. I need a set of schematics to figure out what does what and goes where. The boards have all the power suplies on required on board. This boards was the basis of the Hafler IRIS CD Player
Help I need more info, do you have a good copy of the orginal article or additional information on this board? Regards Anthony

Hello,
I think the much bigger problem is the VFD display/control board. |

Actually it is not, the controller is on the mainboard, just the display is on the auxilary board and I have a schematic on how to hook up the display. The buttons are a hardwired matrix to the mainboard and I have a schematic on how to do that. What I need to know is the DSA and power connections on the board. Regards Anthony

I just gutted a cd630 and have the two auxilliary boards and the display pcb. I want to keep the motherboard and transport but am happy to send the auxilliary boards as well as the display board. If this is what you are after, I'm happy to send it if you cover postage. (The motherboard has the power supply, though.)
