Hi Folks,
I tried this on the Electronics and Parts forum but haven't had any response so I'm giving it another shot here! I'm looking for a supplier (ideally UK) for the Philips CDM12.4/05 CD mechanism and tray loader. I think the tray loader is the L1210/05 but that could be the whole lot. These were used in the Micromega Stage CD players and well need I say any more but yes mine's faulty! I have tried greasing it by the way. Cheers, Jon |

I think you can forget it becasue the cdm12.4 is out of production. The only thing you can find are some laser units, but mostly there are refurbushed and they are a lot of garbage !!!!
So if you can buy one don't pay to much for it !!!!!

Hi JB,
Thanks for your post. I've found a number of companies that sell the CDM12.4 mechanism for around £20/30EUR, from the description they appear to be new parts although not necessarily genuine Philips so thanks for the warning if they are all refurbished junk. The only source I have found for the complete mechanism with loader is in China and although the price is good ($10) they have a minimum order of 1000 units. Cheers, Jon |

Hello,
I'd like to ask what differences between CDM12.1 and 12.4

The difference between the cdm12.1 and the cdm12.4 is that the RF amp of the pickunit is mounted underneath the pickup unit in the cdm12.4 and at a cdm12.1 is mounted on the mainboard of the player self.
