last weekend I have get 6 pieces CDM12.4 "Made In Japan" for 75 Euros/pc from a german guy in top quality version (provided from Marantz Service 12 years ago).

In the attachment you will find a pic from the package.

Unfortunately, I've already used up all the pickup's for CD Player with muddy heads (older models from Thule and Primare). All cd players now works fine.
This means, that the japanese made versions are clearly better than the versions "Made in China".

Who knows the name of this japanese manufacturer?
If I know this address, I will ask there for a larger amount of this laser head with mechanism.

In this case go also to this threads:
Stripdown/Clean of CDM12.4
VAM1204 VAM1205 VAM1206 VAM1250 VAM1252 VAM1254 CDM12pro VAU1254=CDM12.4 compatib

P.S.
about

are mentioned a wide range of philips cd stuff - also loaders like L1210. Is this only a supplier or additional a manufacturer?

I am still looking to the name of this manufacturer.

In the meantime I get CDM12.4 laser heads again.
The devices from Malaysia and Taiwan work also fine in all respects.

Thus I am also looking to that name of manufacturers.

But all CDM12.4 heads "Made in China" (10 pcs) I had to complain cause too low power output.
I must send back all 10 pcs.

None of the wholesalers who buy in the Far East is apparently able to find out, in which factories the parts are manufactured.

Why we have this situation?
Is it because none of the buyers speaks the Chinese language?
