Creative decoder DDTS-100 & subwoofer output

Hi!
I sent an e-mail to Creative asking about filter on subwoofer output and they told me that all outputs are line level ouputs so if somebody what filter should I use.I going to use LT for my subwoofer so do I need simple low pass vith variabile Xover point or should be more complex.
