As the end of each track fades out I get a fluttering, hissing sound in the left channel, until the track stops. There's no noise on the "dead space" between tracks. I also get a weird kind of distortion, like pops and clicks.
I don't think anything's broken, as swapping chips doesn't change anything.
Something to do with grounding, perhaps?
My DAC's in a 3D layout a la Peter Daniel, with all grounds soldered to a piece of copper foil glued on top of the CS8412. I use LM317 regs and passive resistor output.
Any suggestions?
TIA
