I was testing my Hercules Fortissimo III under Windows XP using Rightmark Audio Analyzer with an external loopback tests and got the following results:
16-bit, 48KHz Frequency Response: +1.05, -0.74 Noise Level: -86.8 DR: 86.7 THD: 0.0081% Intermodulation: 0.014 Crosstalk: -86.2 IMD: 0.022 Then I compared them to this review at Digi-Life which got the following results: Frequency response (40 Hz to 15 kHz), dB: +0.05, -0.03 Excellent Noise level, dB (A): -86.5 Good Dynamic range, dB (A): 86.3 Good THD, %: 0.0035 Very good Intermodulation distortions, %: 0.014 Very good Channel crosstalk, dB: -86.1 Excellent The only notable difference is in frequnecy response, but it's quite large. I was hoping someone might be able to give me an idea of why this would occur so I can resolve it. The PC that this soundcard is in is regularly used to listen to music and movies for my home theater (webpage link at bottom) and sound quality is important to me. |

Not comparable test results, Digit-Life used Lynx Two soundcard as input.
