dear all,
i just tested my dac with a upsampling module using src4192. i cannot hear a big different between i switch between 44.1k and 176.4k... i can only hear there is a very little different in voice, ambient and HF when i concentrated in the listening very much! anyone have experience in SRC? any sound different? and for bypass function, i expect it will "bypass" the data to output, but it seems under bypass mode, i can also change the mode to 176.4k, 88.2k and 44.1k......so what is the meaning by "bypass"?! my dac photo http://hk.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/tak...i_aw/my_photos SRC photo http://hk.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/tak...bum?.dir=/7c8e thanks

About 3 years ago, I build my first dac: DIR1703+AD1896+AD1852. I also found the "bypass" function of AD1896 was useless. Because I can't hear any difference. So I remove AD1896 from PCB and connect DIR1703 to AD1852. Yes, it sounds much better than with AD1896. But I havn't use SRC4192, I don't know if the "bypass" is useless.
