Laser replacement for HP 8210 cd writer

Hi,
Sony KRS 202A(26401,8-other nos. below) lens assembly in HP(Sony) 8210(4x4x32) cd-writer overclocked to 10x4x32.Want to replace it,the lens that is(after 3 n 1/2 yrs. of faithful service).
1.If i want to use to use only as a cd reader,what is the substitute lens assembly to be put in its place?Will it work?
2.I assume above lens is out of production.Any cd-writer lens which is drop-in replacement?I will burn max at 10x.I might prefer not go this route,if possible, as prices of cd-writer lenses are quite high(?-i had checked with a prof. repairer) compared to a new cd-writer.

Hi,
Seems there is no replacement.
Cleaned the lens with a ear-cleaning cotton bud,wet with philips head cleaning fluid.Cleaned also the glass/lens(turning mirror?) which is below the coils-had to remove some cotton for the stick to go thro.Also put some grease on rails,gears which r visible(this time i did not dismantle fully the witer).
Now cd-writer at least reads... only pressed cd's and certain(sony) brands of certain cd-r's(no RW) .....Before i had to keep it vertical for it to read with difficulty.
